State Minister Receives United Nations Transitional Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNTMIS) Delegation

H.E. Ali Mohamed Omar, State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a UNTMIS delegation led by Officer-in-Charge Mr. Raisedon Zenenga. The meeting covered the final phase of the transition, recent political and security developments, and the need for a handover that strengthens Somali institutions and protects gains in peacebuilding and state-building.

The State Minister reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to a Somali-led transition and thanked the United Nations for its longstanding partnership.
