Frontier Data Hive · Legal
Terms of Use
Effective 15 September 2026 | frontierdatahive.com
These Terms of Use are a binding agreement between you and Hive Data Services Ltd, a company trading as Frontier Data Hive ("we", "us" or "our"). They govern your access to and use of frontierdatahive.com, including its data, research, tools, charts, alerts and related services (together, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, creating an account or purchasing a subscription, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms, have the legal capacity and authority to accept them, and agree to be bound by them. If you act for an organisation, "you" includes that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. An order form or separate written agreement may add service-specific terms; if there is a conflict, those terms control for the relevant service.
1. The Service
Frontier Data Hive sources, processes and presents financial data, market intelligence and analytical content concerning public and private companies and emerging and advancing markets worldwide. Features may include market data, news, sentiment and technical analysis, valuations, research, charts, watchlists and personalised presentation. Public areas may be used without an account; other features require registration or a paid plan.
Information may be proprietary, obtained from public sources or supplied by third-party data and content providers ("Content Providers"). Labels displayed with particular information, including its source, timing, methodology and permitted use, form part of these Terms.
2. Accounts and access
- Registration information must be true, complete and kept current. We may accept or reject a registration where reasonably necessary to operate or protect the Service.
- You are responsible for activity through your account and for keeping your password and other credentials confidential. Notify us promptly at info@choosehive.com of suspected unauthorised access.
- An individual account or paid seat may be used only by its authorised user. Business administrators may manage seats and account access for their organisation.
- You must not transfer, share or permit simultaneous use of an account except where an applicable business plan or written agreement expressly allows it.
3. Subscriptions trials and billing
The features, price, currency, billing interval, trial period and any minimum term for a paid plan will be shown before purchase. Subscription charges apply for the selected term whether or not you use the Service. Taxes may be added where required. Payments may be handled by a third-party payment provider under its own terms and privacy notice.
If a free trial is offered, it will convert to the paid subscription shown at registration unless cancelled before the trial ends. Paid subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods of the same duration unless cancelled before the renewal date. You authorise us or our payment provider to charge the payment method on file when a trial converts and at each renewal.
You may cancel through your account or another method stated at checkout. Unless law or the checkout terms provide otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current subscription period and prepaid charges are non-refundable. Mandatory consumer cooling-off, cancellation and refund rights remain unaffected.
We may change a subscription price on reasonable advance notice. The new price applies at the next renewal, and you may cancel before then. If a charge is declined, we may retry it and suspend or downgrade paid access until payment is received. Institutional plans may be governed by a separate order form, minimum term, service level or cancellation arrangement.
4. Licence and permitted use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the parts of the Service made available to you. Consumers may use the Service for personal, non-commercial research. A business plan permits authorised users to use it for their organisation's internal investment, trading and risk-analysis activities. Serving clients, giving advice to third parties, operating a commercial data service, or using an API or data feed requires an appropriate written licence.
You may download or print a reasonable amount of information for permitted personal or internal use, provided that all copyright, source and attribution notices remain intact. No ownership right is transferred to you.
5. Use restrictions
Except where we expressly authorise it in writing, you must not:
- modify, copy, scrape, crawl, harvest, bulk-download, systematically store, publish, broadcast, redistribute, sell, sublicense or create a database from the Service;
- use Service information to train, fine-tune, test or improve an artificial intelligence or machine-learning model, or to create a competing product;
- reverse engineer the Service, evade access controls or usage limits, probe security, introduce harmful code or interfere with operation;
- remove rights or attribution notices, impersonate another person, infringe another person's rights or use the Service unlawfully or fraudulently; or
- use third-party data contrary to the exchange, vendor or Content Provider terms displayed with it.
Automated access is permitted only through an interface and on conditions we approve. We may apply reasonable technical limits and investigate suspected misuse.
6. Ownership trademarks and provider rights
The Service, including its design, software, proprietary datasets, analytics, models, research and branding, is owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual property laws. FRONTIER DATA HIVE, associated logos and other marks we use are our property or licensed to us. You may not use them without prior written consent. Other marks belong to their respective owners.
Third-party data and content remain the property of the relevant Content Provider. Each Content Provider may enforce the ownership rights, use restrictions, warranty disclaimers and liability protections in these Terms that expressly protect it.
7. Third party information links and advertising
The Service may contain third-party data, products, links, embedded services, advertisements or sponsored material. We do not control them and do not make representations about their content, availability, security or terms. Their inclusion does not imply endorsement, authorisation, sponsorship or affiliation. Your dealings with a third party are between you and that party.
Market quotations may be real-time, delayed, estimated or end-of-day. Their timing and source will be indicated where available. You should confirm the current price, terms and availability of an investment with the broker, exchange, issuer or other person responsible for executing or settling the transaction.
8. Financial information
Information supplied through the Service is for general information, education and research. It is not investment, legal, tax, accounting or other professional advice; a personal recommendation; an offer or solicitation; or a substitute for your own investigation. Personalised pages, rankings, alerts or watchlists do not mean that we have assessed suitability for you. We do not execute trades, act as a broker, hold client assets or arrange investments through the Service.
Information may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, estimated or modelled, and neither we nor our Content Providers guarantee its accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Financial markets involve risk and past performance does not predict future results. You are responsible for your decisions and should obtain appropriately qualified advice. The Financial Information Disclaimer published on the Service is incorporated into these Terms.
9. Privacy and cookies
Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle personal data. Our Cookie Notice explains our use of cookies and similar technologies. Both are available through the Service, and non-essential cookies can be managed through Cookie Settings.
10. Changes availability and corrections
We may add, remove, correct, suspend or discontinue information or features. We do not undertake to update every item or correct every error. Maintenance, market closures, vendor interruptions, network failures and events outside our reasonable control may affect availability. We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free or continuously real-time access.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using a free account at any time and may cancel a subscription as described above. We may restrict, suspend or terminate access to protect the Service or users, investigate misuse, comply with law, respond to non-payment or address a material or repeated breach. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy. On termination, your licence ends; provisions intended to survive, including ownership, restrictions, disclaimers, liability, governing law and accrued payment obligations, continue to apply.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
We will provide paid digital services with the care and skill required by applicable law. Otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We and our Content Providers disclaim all express and implied warranties, including as to accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability, non-infringement, security and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be free from errors, harmful components or interruption. Nothing in these Terms affects mandatory consumer rights.
13. Liability
Consumers
If you are a consumer, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for unforeseeable loss, business loss or an investment decision made without appropriate independent assessment. Nothing excludes liability where unlawful, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or mandatory rights relating to digital content or services.
Business users
If you use the Service for business purposes, neither we nor our Content Providers are liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, anticipated savings, goodwill or data, or for indirect, special or consequential loss. Subject to liabilities that cannot lawfully be limited, our aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of GBP 1,000 and the fees paid or payable for the affected Service during the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
14. Business user indemnity
If you are a business user, you will indemnify us, our affiliates and our Content Providers against third-party claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Service or material breach of sections 4 or 5, except to the extent caused by the person seeking indemnification.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, the Service or our business. We will post the revised terms and effective date. We will give reasonable advance notice of a material change affecting a paid subscription and, where required, a right to cancel. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance unless law requires express consent.
16. Governing law and courts
These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections under the law of the country where you habitually live, and you may bring proceedings in any court available under applicable consumer law. If you are a business user, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
17. General
These Terms, applicable order forms and incorporated documents are the agreement between us concerning the Service and replace prior discussions on that subject. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified or removed only as necessary; the remainder continues in effect. A delay in enforcement is not a waiver.
We may transfer our rights or obligations to an affiliate or in a reorganisation, financing or sale without reducing mandatory consumer protections. You may transfer yours only with our written consent unless law permits otherwise. Apart from Content Providers under section 6, no third party may enforce these Terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
